Singin in the Rain had three amazing performances this November. Over 40 students participated from grades 9-12, both back stage and on stage, presenting a successful production enjoyed by large, supportive audiences. Singin' in the Rain is set in 1927 Los Angeles, placing it at a crossroads in history—post-WWI and woman’s suffrage, right in the middle of Prohibition and the birth of Jazz, but before the Great Depression. The ensemble was lead by Theo Wells-Spackman, Eryn Diehl, Owen Southerland, Suzie Klemmer, Xavier Wyncoop and Connor Harris. We had a wonderful ensemble chorus, including many new faces to MUHS, that sang and danced their way through this story of love, laughter, and the birth of the “talkies.” Shannon Bohler, Liz LeBeau and Rob DeBruyn are so proud of these students and so grateful for the continued support of the community.
