Dear ACSD Community,
As Vermont inches closer to the 80% vaccination rate (of those eligible to receive a vaccination) that the Governor has set as a benchmark to end Vermont’s state of emergency, I know there may be many questions regarding what this might mean for Vermont schools. Based on news reports, it’s likely that this could happen prior to the end of the school year.
Today, the Agency of Education produced guidance that schools should continue to follow our Strong and Healthy Year procedures through the end of the current school year, which is now just 2½ weeks, even if the Governor ends our state of emergency in Vermont. Should there be any additional updates from the state, we will share those with all of you in the weeks ahead.
Please check out this Welcome to MUMS brochure, which is going home to prospective MUMS students. It outlines what’s ahead next year and the exciting changes that have shaped MUMS as we welcome 6th graders. In addition, you can find the latest issue of the MUMS transition communication here.
