We had a great week at MUMS and MUHS as we welcomed students back to four days of in-person learning. There was much excitement from students and staff, and a few bleary-eyed mornings for students who were transitioning to new weekly schedules. I want to thank our entire community for your patience and flexibility, not just with this transition but throughout this year as we’ve needed to respond to changes in state guidance to keep learning maximized in our schools and in your homes.
As we look towards the end of the year, we are grateful that students will be able to have prom, graduation, and events like the annual Raft Race at Lake Dunmore. Look for more information on end-of-year events from your respective schools in the weeks ahead.
With the approval of the Pfizer vaccine for 12-to-15-year-olds reportedly coming in the next week, there is hope that we are slowly emerging from this significantly challenging year. Our outdoor classrooms are now in full swing, and we are focused on a strong end to the school year to be ready for the excitement of what’s ahead next year when we come back together in August.
