The long-awaited Agency of Education Strong and Healthy guidance has been released to Vermont schools. Along with the publication of Vermont Forward, this document maps out guidelines for schools through the end of this academic year. For a summary of the changes as they impact us here at ACSD, please see Kelly Landwehr’s update below.
Over the course of the next week, ACSD staff will be working to determine how this guidance impacts our current health and safety protocols in all of our schools, as well as assessing a potential shift from hybrid learning to more in-person days at MUMS and MUHS. The earliest we plan to make any changes to our hybrid phase is Monday, May 3.
As we have done throughout the pandemic, we’ll follow our ACSD Reentry Plan, understanding that we need to be responsive as conditions change in our region and our state. This approach has worked throughout this year across ACSD as we’ve confronted positive cases in our schools, and we realize that we need to remain responsive to support all students and families in ACSD.
