With the warming of the weather and vaccinations increasing across our communities, it feels like we are slowly moving out of what has been a very challenging year. Thank you to our entire community for working together over this past year to do what's best for our students!
The big news this week has been the rollout of vaccinations for educators. School districts signed up this week with both state and federal programs in a national effort to prioritize school staff vaccinations. The state expects all educators to be vaccinated by mid-April.
This is a big step forward. I expect that over the next weeks, we’ll hear more from the state on other changes that will accompany full vaccination of school staff. In the Governor’s press conference, he mentioned state-directed “recovery planning,” and we’ll know more in the next weeks to get a better sense of how current restrictions and guidelines may change as we move towards more in-person learning across the state.
