Today, the Vermont Department of Health reported 26 new cases of COVID-19 in Addison County. These cases originated in Shoreham at Champlain Orchards. In a press conference today, Vermont Health Commissioner, Dr. Mark Levine, said that "the outbreak is contained to the farm, and I want to emphasize there is no known risk to the public...It is also safe to eat apples and other products that were grown or produced by the orchards."
There are currently no active COVID-19 cases in ACSD (students and staff). We will continue to monitor the situation, and will continue to share information that directly impacts our school community through direct communication and on our active dashboard. Our ACSD COVID-19 Action Guide outlines our health and safety protocols during the pandemic.
Thank you for being a part of the ACSD community as we work together to meet the challenges we face and support the success of all of our students.
