ACSD COVID-19 Recovery Planning Update - June 17, 2020
Dear ACSD Community,
I'd like to thank everyone who applied to take part in the multiple teams that make up our COVID-19 recovery planning process. Teams have now been selected, and met for the first time this week to establish a plan to complete work over the summer to be prepared for the coming school year. You can find the updated document with information on our team membership here.
Our work will be focused on planning according to the safety and health guidelines for reopening schools that were released today from the Agency of Education, as well as creating structures to be able to respond to the different phases of learning we could face if there are changes in guidance from the state at any time during the next academic year. We know that it's critical to be prepared to support our students and families in whatever form our education in Vermont takes.
I know that there are many questions around what school will look like according to these guidelines. Our recovery planning teams will be creating a plan over the summer to make our schools as welcoming and supportive for our entire community within these parameters. Please look for updates throughout the summer as our action teams continue their work and we finalize many of the systems we'll be putting in place to make our reentry to school successful for all students.
Thank you for being a part of the ACSD community and enjoy the summer!
