Degrees and Certifications:
We will begin our school year by looking at the idea of community and what qualities make a strong, successful community. Throughout the year, we will focus on community, within our classroom, within our town, and also within the natural world. This will be the basis for the academic work that we do together as we collaborate and learn from each other and with each other. Literacy provides many opportunities for us to talk about community as we spend time with different characters who may challenge us to consider new perspectives. Mathematics will focus on concepts and strategies and will give us practice having rich dialogue with each other about these ideas.
