Technology at ACSD is supported by three specialty areas that all work together to ensure the needs of staff and students are met.
A Technology Integration Coach. Library media specialists and the ACSD Director of Technology provide classroom support and professional development for staff. By working with teachers to research and plan technology-infused lessons, units and projects, technology is integrated directly into the curriculum.
Six technology department staff members provide timely and knowledgeable technical support for computers, tablets, printers, projectors, and wireless access points available throughout schools in the district. This front-line troubleshooting, computer repair, network and server management is crucial to the success of students and staff.
Data and Communication Support
The accuracy and reliability of student data has become a critical element in educating our students. This work is a shared responsibility among multiple people in the schools and in the district IT department. They do an admirable job in meeting the demanding and growing requirements involved in student information management.
