This year I'm teaching AP Biology, Advanced Human Biology and Branching Out. I also serve as the IB Creativity, Activity, Service Coordinator, help coach the MUHS Nordic Ski Team, and run the Neuroscience Club.
Teaching respresents a return to my true passion after working for the past twelve years in development and fundraising for a number of schools and nonprofit organizations. Although I'm new to MUHS, my background includes several years of teaching college level biology and physiology while earning a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from Texas A&M University. I aslo worked for several years as a Cardiovascular Postdoctoral Fellow within the Pharmacology Department at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. I’m excited to bring my experiences from frontline research and higher ed to the high school classroom.
I live in Middlebury, with my wife, two sons and two dogs. When I'm not teaching you will find me outside, running, biking and nordic skiing.
