• Welcome Students and Parents!

I am proud to be here at Middlebury Union High School.  This is an exciting time with many changes with the implementation of the International Baccalaureate program, a new schedule, and new course offerings.  I am thrilled to be a part of these changes.  In the summer of 2018, I moved to Vermont, most recently by way of Frisco, Texas area.  Before living in Texas, I lived in Massachusetts, and before that, I was an active duty member of the United States Air Force.  I have an adult daughter who is in college at Bishop's University in Quebec, Canada.  I am looking forward to getting back into skiing and hiking and plan to learn how to snowshoe.  (How hard can it be?)  I have been an educator for sixteen years and consider myself a life-long learner.  My goal is to help you learn more about the world, and yourself, through reading, writing, and speaking.  The ability to communicate well is a foundation in life.  French writer Gustave Flaubert once stated that "the art of writing is the art of discovering what you believe."  It is my hope that each of you leaves my classroom a little more knowledgeable about the world and yourself.
