HEALTH SERVICES
A child's ability to attend school, learn, and be successful is dependent upon their optimal health. The certified school nurse is able to assess the needs of the whole child, within the context of their family and community. Through use of comprehensive health history and health screenings, a school nurse addresses physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. The certified school nurse is the focal point of intake, information dissemination, health education, and referral that serves the well-being, academic sucess, and lifelong achievement of students.
Mary Hogan employs a full time Registered Nurse who provides a full spectrum of health, medical, and dispensary services during the academic year. The school nurse also provides question and answer support during PE health classes.
