• My name is Kristin Holsman-Francoeur, and I am thrilled to be the new Principal of MUMS.  A graduate of MUHS and Middlebury College, it feels like coming home to me!  Having lived in both Salisbury and Ripton as a child, I now live in Leicester with my husband, children, dog, three alpacas and more than twenty chickens. I love to spend time with family and friends, be outside, spin yarn and knit, watch the Red Sox and Bruins, and work in the vegetable gardens.  When time allows, we also love to travel as a family both within the United States and abroad.  Professionally, before joining MUMS, I taught at Otter Valley Union High School as a Special Educator, earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Union Institute, then I taught Spanish at Rutland Middle School, and earned another Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Castleton University.  I became the Assistant Principal at both Rutland Intermediate and Middle Schools before becoming the Principal of Rutland Middle School.  All of my education and experience makes me feel like MUMS is the perfect place for me to be, and I am so appreciative of the incredibly warm welcome the community has given me.
