Cathryn Butler grew up in Vergennes, Vermont, graduated from UVM with a B.S.N. and obtained certification as a School Nurse with the Vermont Department of Education. She has completed graduate course work at St. Michael's College and UVM primarily in education and psychology. While in college, she married Stephen Butler, her high school sweetheart. Her husband is self-employed as an Architect and building contractor in Middlebury. They have resided in Middlebury for the past 30+ years and are the parents of Matthew, Morgan, Erin and Caitlin and the proud grandparents of Abigail. Her family also includes five Havanese dogs; Tucker, Rowan, Chloe, Sophie and Lacey. In addition to spending time with her family, Cathryn enjoys reading, genealogy, and cooking. Most Sunday mornings, Cathryn can be found in her kitchen baking bread. School vacations include lots of DIY projects and travel to visit family in Las Vegas, Montana and Florida. Cathryn is attempting to learn Spanish and hopes to travel to Cuba in the near future to reconnect with her family's heritage.
