Ms. Stacy Holbrook

Stacy Holbrook is the school librarian at MUHS.  She has an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and advanced degrees in Reading Education and Library and Information Science.  Stacy also holds certfication Reading Specialist and Technology Integration Specialist endorsements.  

 

Stacy has been involved in numerous state and national organizations.  She has served as a regional director for the Ohio Educational Library Media Association (OELMA); as a committee member for the Vermont State Red Clover and Green Mountain Book Award committees; and as the chair for the Young Adult Library Sevices Association's (YALSA) Teens' Top Ten Committee.  Stacy has also been a mentor for upcoming librarians in the field of children and teen librarianship. 

 

Stacy contributes to "The Hub" blog--a YALSA publication and is a book reviewer for the Voice of Youth Advocates and School Library Connection.  She also has published articles in many education and library science journals including: Library Media Connection, Young Adult Library Services, Knowledge Quest, OELMA Spectrum, New Horizons for Learning and School Library Activities Monthly.

 

Stacy is interested in creating a terrific library experience for all students and staff at MUHS and is constantly curating ideas to make this happen.  Have an idea for the library? Let her know!
