Courtney Krahn has been in education for 14 years, teaching at both middle and high schools in Wisconsin and Vermont. Before filling the role of MYP Coordinator, she taught most recently for four years at Middlebury Union Middle School. She holds a BA and an MA in English literature from Dickinson College and Middlebury College, respectively.  She is a National Board Certified Teacher.

Courtney lives in Cornwall with her husband and three children. In addition to hanging out with them, she enjoys exploring new places, running, reading, writing and cooking. She is passionate about our community and feels fortunate to live and work here. She serves on the board of the Addison Central Teen Center and is a member of the coordinating committee for the New England Young Writers’ Conference.

She became excited about the IB curriculum early on during the district’s journey, as she quickly felt and saw the difference it made in her students’ level of engagement. She is enthusiastic about the changes already underway in ACSD and can’t wait to see and help support our future progress.
