I grew up in Vergennes, VT so small town living is quite familiar to me. I returned to my hometown after college and enjoy the belonging and familiarity of a small town community. I see many of these aspects in Shoreham and have enjoyed becoming emerged into this small town community as well. My past experiences with children range from tutoring and assisting in classrooms, working one on one with specific students, camp counselor, nanny, older sister, aunt and mother. I am a new mother (my daughter will be 2 in November) and I find that being a mother and a teacher gives me experience that I can use and apply in both settings. As a teacher, I think about what I would want my daughter to experience in school and strive to provide this for my students. My vision for my students is to further develop a love and desire for learning. I want to support my students in developing skills they can use and apply throughout their current lives and in the future. I look forward to hearing more from parents and students about their vision for this fifth grade year.
