A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:

MY HOMETOWN I grew up in Orrville, Ohio.  I moved to Middlebury in 1997.

MY EDUCATION: I graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education. Later, I earned my Masters of Education in Reading and Language Arts from the University of Vermont in 2000.

MY CAREER: As I child I did a lot of babysitting and was a bank teller when I was just 17. I always wanted to be a teacher though, so I chose jobs where I was able to work with children. I worked for the Peace Corps as an orientation and mobility teacher in a school for blind children. I then taught in Shaker Heights, Ohio before moving to Vermont. I was a teacher at Bridport School before coming here to Mary Hogan.

OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL:  I love to be outdoors with my husband, Eric, and our three teenagers, Ellen, Anna, and Matthew. We also have a dog and cat.  In my free time I enjoy yoga, reading, biking and spending time at the lake.

MY FAVORITE SUBJECTS IN SCHOOL WERE: Reading and Art
