WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL
Weybridge Elementary School is a small, semi-rural school located three miles northwest of Middlebury in Vermont's Champlain Valley. One of seven elementary schools in Addison Central Supervisory District, our school is central to community life in Weybridge, a tiny agricultural and residential town, home also to Monument Farms Dairy and the University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm.
OUR MISSION
Central to our work is the staff’s deep respect for students as capable thinkers. We value that students tackle problems, questions, and assessment tasks with enthusiasm, humor, confidence, tenacity, skepticism and precision, and that they are able to discern what matters and communicate their thinking clearly.
The staff strives to create a school that will serve as a model for what K-5 public education can be, and to forge genuine and enduring partnerships with the Weybridge community and Addison Central School District.CLASSROOMS
Weybridge has a long and strong tradition of multi-age classrooms. Our four classrooms include combined grades: K-1, 2-3 and 4-5. The current student population for 2021-2022 is 40 students. After graduating from Weybridge Elementary School, students attend Middlebury Union Middle School for grades 6, 7 and 8, and then Middlebury Union High School.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
We are proud of our students, staff, and the many, committed community volunteers who help us daily. Active support enhances our instructional programs, library resources, food services, after-school activities, and the beautiful facility in which we teach and learn.
