  • Mary Hogan School
    is a K-6 public school 
    located in Middlebury, Vermont

    The town has a population of approximately 8,000 and is located
    in the Champlain Valley between the Adirondack Mountains of New York State and the Green Mountains of Vermont. 

    Home to Middlebury College, the community offers a wide range of academic and cultural opportunities. The Mary Hogan School works in cooperation with the college in the sharing and development of resources. Hiking, sailing, cycling, and swimming are favorite pastimes during the summer months with skiing and ice-skating occupying the winter season.
    Enrolling approximately 450 students, Mary Hogan School has an average class size of 18. The Mary Hogan School is administered by Principal, Thomas Buzzell and Assistant Principal, Steven Lindemann.  
    Mary Hogan School is a member of the Addison Central Supervisory District.
    After sixth grade, Mary Hogan School students go on to attend
    Middlebury Union Middle School and then Middlebury Union High School.

    Mary Hogan School is also proud to offer a growing S.T.E.M/Challenge Program.   This program is an enrichment program for students in grades 3-6; the STEM/Challenge Teacher also offers support to all grade level teachers in science instruction.
    A large, well-resourced Library/Media Center and Computer Lab are available for all students, parents, and teachers.
    For those students requiring special services, the Mary Hogan School has a strong team of Special Educators, a Speech/Language Pathologist, Counselors, and a School Nurse. Other special programs include Reading Recovery for first grade students, a program for students who are LEP (Limited English Proficient),
    and Academic Intervention for grades K-6.
