I am Sierra Thornton, and I am from Proctor, Vermont. I am the PE teacher for both Ripton Elementary School and Salisbury Community School. I recently graduated from the physical education program at Norwich University. As a student at Norwich I played soccer on the women’s soccer team for 3 years. I chose this career path because I am excited and thrilled to be a part of a community that encourages the growth, development, and success of students. I also studied physical education in hopes of inspiring others to work hard, have fun, and develop lifelong knowledge of how to take care of themselves physically and emotionally. My physical education teacher in high school inspired me and I hope to also inspire others and make a positive impact on the students as well. As much as I am going to be teaching your students, they will be teaching me, and I am excited and grateful for this opportunity to better prepare me for my future years and continual growth and learning!
