Weybridge Elementary School is a small, semi-rural school located three miles northwest of Middlebury in Vermont's Champlain Valley. One of seven elementary schools in Addison Central Supervisory Union, our school is central to community life in Weybridge, a tiny agricultural and residential town, home also to Monument Farms Dairy, and the University of Vermont Morgan Horse Farm.

Our mission is to educate students for success, and to foster kindness, respect and integrity within a safe and nurturing environment. We achieve academic excellence through the development of intellectual curiosity, personal accountability and love of learning. We honor individuality and community, promote cross-cultural understanding, and encourage leadership and service, preparing students to learn how to live in an ever-changing society and to participate effectively in the world.

Central to our work is the staff’s deep respect for students as capable thinkers. We value that students tackle problems, questions, and assessment tasks with enthusiasm, humor, confidence, tenacity, skepticism and precision, and that they are able to discern what matters and communicate their thinking clearly.

The staff strives to create a school that will serve as a model for what K-5 public education can be, and to forge genuine and enduring partnerships with the Weybridge community and Addison Central School District.
