Welcome to Health at Middlebury Union Middle School!

While a student at MUMS, you will take Health twice, one quarter each year. I look forward to meeting you when your quarter for Health Education comes along. More information necessary for our class will be on Managebac as well as given to the students once they are enrolled in Health.

Get to Know Ms. Gogarty

I am a first-year teacher and super excited to start my teaching career at MUMS! I am a graduate of Castleton University where I received my Bachelors of Science in both Health Education and Physical Education. Following graduation, I became certified in K-12 Health and Physical Education! Yay! I am thrilled to start supporting students through their journey to health literacy

While enrolled in Health Class students will utilize this Google Slides that holds so many amazing resources for achieving a life full health literacy click the hyperlink to access it before and even after you are enrolled in Health! Resources include One Love Foundation (Healthy vs Unhealthy Relationships), AMAZE (Short informational videos for Teens on their bodies, gender, mental health), ChooseMyPlate (Build healthy eating habits), Vermont Department of Health, The Center for Disease Control, and TeensHealth.org. Students will learn to utilize these and many more resources to become skilled in making health-conscious decisions.
