Sarah Metcalf

    Sarah Metcalf began teaching PK-6 general, choral, and instrumental music in 2003 after earning her Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. For the 2012-2013 school year, Ms. Metcalf took a sabbatical to earn her Master's of Music Education (Kodály Emphasis) from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, CT (click here to see coursework). In 2015, she received the Green Mountain Music District V Music Educator of the Year Award. She has taught at Mary HoganWeybridgeBeemanRiptonSalisburyCornwall, and Shoreham elementary schools.

    Ms. Metcalf has performed in many local ensembles including the Middlebury College Community Chorus (alto), Vermont Wind Ensemble (tuba), the Champlain Philharmonic Orchestra (tuba/trombone), LC Jazz (trombone), the Middlebury Wind Ensemble (tuba/trombone), Bristol Band (trombone/tuba), Orwell Town Band (trumpet), the Ridgerunners (tuba/trombone), the Green Mountain Brass Band (tuba), the Green Mountain Mahler Festival Chorus (alto), and several brass chamber groups.
