A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME:
MY HOMETOWN: I was born in Burlington, Vermont in the old Mary Fletcher Hospital. When I was 3 my parents moved us to Cornwall, Vermont. We lived in Cornwall for two years and then moved to Leicester Junction. I lived in Leicester until I moved to Middlebury at the age of 23. After 25 years in Middlebury I returned to the fertile rolling farmlands of Cornwall, VT where I now live.
MY EDUCATION: I attended school in a one-room schoolhouse until 5th grade. I graduated from the “brand-new” Otter Valley Union High School in 1963.
MY CAREER: I worked at the Brandon Training School right after graduation. I went on to work at C.P.C Vermont and then drove Taxi Cab for Orion Sunderland. My husband and I began our own Taxi service, Larry’s 24 hours Cab, here in Middlebury, Vermont. I have worked at Mary Hogan School for over 40 years! In addition to keeping the school tidy and well organized, I have worked as a recess attendant and school crossing guard.
OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL: I met my husband 52 years ago and we have three children who graced us with 5 grandchildren (12 to 25) who keep us active. Three years ago we welcomed to our family, our first great-grandchild. On Monday and Wednesday nights you can find me playing BINGO with my daughter. My dog Buddy is my faithful companion and I love him dearly. I sew, crochet, read, craft and garden when I find time.
MY FAVORITE SUBJECTS IN SCHOOL WERE: Spelling, Reading and Math.
