• Librarian - Megan Sutton

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!  The library is open and Covid19 safety guidelines are relaxed. It almost feels like a normal school year!  This year we are sharing a CLiF Rural Libraries grant with the Salisbury Free Public Library.  CLiF executive director Duncan McDougall came to visit in November, bringing along new books for the library.  Keep an eye out for news about a spring author event!  If you ever have any questions, please reach out to me at msutton@acsdvt.org. Please let me know if you have any questions. It's nice to be here!

In the summer of 2021, the library had a facelift!  We received new-to-us shelves from the elementary school in South Hero and installed them along the west wall of the library to take advantage of good lighting.  We removed some other shelves, moved tables, and received a recovered comfy chair.  With the open spaces and good lighting, the library is truly an inviting space.

The library is located in the heart of our school and hosts a comprehensive collection of print materials. Students also have access to a broad array of digital resources through the Vermont Online Library. The library is staffed by Megan Sutton, a Vermont-certified School Library Media Specialist with an MAT in Teaching with Technology, and library assistant Nancy Velez.  The library program includes classes, informal visits, and classroom support in all areas of the curriculum.  Contact Megan for more information.
