As of July 2018, 6,549 IB programs are offered across 4,937 schools worldwide.  IB World Schools exist in the Americas, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the Pacific (ibo.org, facts and figures).  Currently, there are only two authorized IB World Schools in Vermont (The Dover School and Long Trail Academy) and fewer than ten IB World Districts (districts offering a PK-12 continuum of IB programs) in the United States.

In ACSD, the Primary Years Program (PYP) will be implemented in all seven elementary schools for grades PK through 6.  The Middle Years Program (MYP) will be implemented at the middle and high schools, serving grades 7-10. The Diploma Program (DP) is an option for students in 11th and 12th grade.  To maximize access and encourage participation, MUHS will provide several different avenues through which an ACSD student can choose to participate in courses offered through the DP.  We are currently exploring the possibility of offering the IB Career-related Program (CP) in partnership with the Patricia Hannaford Career Center.  You can learn more about the PYP, MYP, and DP by clicking on the links at the left.
