Welcome to Cornwall School!

I am very excited to join the Cornwall community! Before moving to Vermont to be closer to family, I lived and worked in Colorado, Wisconsin, and Japan. I have been working in schools since the early 1990s teaching all grade levels from PK-12 and teaching ELA, Art (including IB Art as part of the Diploma Programme), and Japanese. Most recently, I worked as the Assistant Principal at Global Village Academy-Colorado Springs (now known as Colorado International Language Academy), a language immersion school. I have degrees from Colgate University and the University of WI-Madison, and an advanced certificate in Educational Leadership from the state of Colorado. I truly believe that every child has the capacity to learn, and my goals for this year are to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff and also to have fun with the students! I have a grown daughter who works as an outdoor educator in Connecticut. My husband is a teacher and also worked as Manager of Youth and Education at USA Ultimate before we moved to Vermont. When I am not at school, I love to hike with my dogs, read, spend time on or near water, and spend time with my family.
