Welcome to the Ripton first and second grade classroom!  My name is Charlotte Holmquist. I live in Rochester, Vermont.  I am fortunate to have a beautiful drive over the Middlebury Gap every day to teach here at Ripton Elementary School. I graduated from Lyndon State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary/ Special Education. I have been a teacher for about 35 years. For 4 years, I  was the  Special Education/Title I Teacher at the former Hancock-Granville Schools.  I was also the Kindergarten-Grade 2 Teacher at the Granville Village School for 6 years.  I have been teaching 1st & 2nd grades here at Ripton since 2003. I recently received my M.Ed in Curriculum & Reading Instruction.

When I am not teaching at the Ripton Elementary School, I will be reading or scapbooking family memories. I love spending time with my two children and my grandchildren. I also enjoy fishing and camping with my husband, Eric.
