Curriculum and Assessment
All the buzz in ACSD these days is about International Baccalaureate (IB), and we're excited to share updates as we revise our PreK-12 teaching and learning frameworks to align with the IB models in the Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP), and Diploma Program (DP).
As we learn, grow, and shift our practices through the IB authorization process, some things will not change. We'll continue to use ACSD's Essential Learning Outcomes (ELOs) to define common expectations for students across the district. At the elementary level, we'll continue employ familiar programs like Bridges in Mathematics. We'll continue to analyze results from the the Smarter Balanced Assessments in Mathematics and English Language Arts and from local assessments that, taken together, offer a more wholistic picture of student learning.
